Orso Search ("Orso", "we", "us") is a specialist finance recruitment business based in the United Kingdom, serving clients in the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other international markets. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.
Our services are intended for candidates and users aged 18 or over.
From candidates: name and contact details, CV and career history, current and expected compensation and notice period, your optional introduction video, your optional working-style profile, your consent records, and our own interview notes and ratings.
From clients: name, company, contact details, the role brief, and the feedback you give on candidates.
From website enquiries: name, company, email, phone (optional) and your message.
Automatically: only the basic technical and session data needed to keep you securely logged in.
We do not make decisions about candidates by solely automated means. To hold every applicant to the same standard, an automated assessment, using a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) strictly as a processor under contract, scores your recorded answers against the same written criteria for everyone and prepares a draft outcome with reasons. No outcome is final, and no candidate is ever accepted or rejected, until Ranbir Ghuman personally reviews it and decides. You can ask for a human review or an explanation of any decision at any time by emailing ranbir@orso.ae. We do not use candidate data to train any AI model.
The optional "working-style" colour profile is a candidate-completed questionnaire. It is an indicative conversation aid only: it is never used to screen, rank or reject candidates, and it is never the basis of a hiring decision. You can decline to complete it, you see your own result before anything is shared, and you can ask us not to use it or to remove it at any time by emailing ranbir@orso.ae.
To present your career in our portal, we may use an automated tool to read and reformat the content of your CV into our standard timeline format. This only re-formats information you have already provided, it does not assess, score or make any decision about you, and Ranbir reviews the result before any client sees it. For this we use a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) strictly as a processor under contract; your data is not used to train any AI model. You can ask us to format your CV manually instead by emailing ranbir@orso.ae.
Candidate introduction videos are optional. We tell you, before any recording, that it is voluntary and what it will be used for, and we only collect and share a video where you have given explicit consent with a genuine, pressure-free option to decline. Your consent is recorded. You can withdraw consent at any time, after which the video is removed.
We share a candidate's profile, CV and (if consented) intro video with the hiring client for the relevant engagement only. We never sell personal data.
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (secure database, authentication and file storage), Netlify (website hosting) and Google Workspace (email). Some processing may take place outside the UK.
International transfers: we are a UK company that serves clients in the United Kingdom, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other international markets. When we place a candidate with a client in one of those markets, the relevant personal data may move between the UK and that client's country, and to our providers. Where it does, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data remains protected to the same standard.
Data is held in access-controlled systems with encryption in transit and at rest, and database-level security so each client can only ever see their own engagement. Access is limited to Orso.
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, or request a portable copy. To exercise any of these, email ranbir@orso.ae, we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, the relevant data-protection authority.
The site uses only the essential cookies and local storage required to keep you securely logged in and to remember your light/dark preference. It does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first.
We may update this notice; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted here.
